Recently updated to 7.7.2 plus a server upgrade to php8 and find that apart from a few layout glitches the Emailafriend and Askaquestion buttons don't work. Checked the email address is ok in the admin panel and all OK.

Am i missing something?

It seems that there are warnings on the page because there are language file entries that are missing, one example of which is "xxContUs". Has the file vsadmin/inc/languagfile_en.php been modified at all? Or replaced?

Thank you Vince for the answer. Yes some of the Language file wording has been modified. I will compare the download file for what's missing and add them.

Hi Mike, no need to edit that file.
Any languagefile entries you want to change, just copy them to your includes file and make your change there, leaving the languagefile intact, making updates much easier.

Still having problems with my email... I've updated to 7.7.2 and my server is running PHP 8. I've copied additional files fron language.php into my includes file.

The problem is when the Ask A Question or Email Friend is clicked, no popup form appears, hence, no emails sent.

These are still some glitches on the site due to upgrading the server to PHP8 but mainly alignment which is solvable.

Can someone point me in the right direction please.

I see you are missing a language entry for xxCUBlur
This goes back to what Vince mentioned.

I see in the console, you are also missing an entry for xxContUs

You should upload the complete, unedited, languangefile(s) that came with the update package.

Thanks David...That will teach me to play with altering the Language file. I will do as you say and make any changes in the includes.php.

Hi Michael,
I think you may need to upload the ectcart.js file to the js directory on the server from the updater.

It looks like you have an old version on the server - https://www.thetiaracompany.com/js/ectcart.js

That should fix the 'no pop up' problem
