I'm having a strange problem with my shopping cart that is baffling me.

It's that are added show up in the softcart but then don't show in the main cart.
If a customer adjusts the quantity before adding to cart, it shows in the softcart but then only shows 1 in the main cart, then if they try to update it in the main cart they get a message saying the cart is empty!

It's all very odd. This only affects non logged in customers, and only on mobile. The site works absolutely fine for logged in on mobile and all customers on desktop.

My site is www.memorialjewelleryblanks.co.uk

I have run the latest updater this morning and cleared my cache, it hasn't changed anything.

Can you have a look please.

Thanks
Gemma

Hi Gemma,

I'm getting some very strange behaviour using a desktop. I add to cart, then remove that item and it's still there even if I switch browsers

Do you have some sort of caching enabled using a plugin?

I would check to see if this is the case

After some checking this seemed to come down to a problem with caching. For anyone else with similar problems, caching is generally quite bad on a dynamic website as you are not getting up-to-date information on your web pages but old, "cached" copies of the pages. I'll post Gemma's comments in case they help someone else...

Thanks for this Vince, I'm with ionos. I did a bit of digging around and I found cache setting in the IONOS wordpress 'performance' menu which I have switched off and that seems to have resolved the issue. hopefully that might help if anyone else has the same problem.
