Our site currently shows 9 recommended products no matter how many I designate. Can I expand the number it shows?

Try this in your includes.asp changing the number accordingly

crosssellsectionmax=9

I gave that a try but it's still only showing 9 items. Anything else I can try?

Try setting these two on the page where you have the recommended products showing.
<%crosssellaction="recommended"%>
<%crosssellrows=8%>
<%productcolumns=4%>
<!--#include file="vsadmin/inc/inccrosssell.asp"-->

I think this may work for you either in the includes add

orsortby=13
crosssellsectionmax=20

or on the page itself add

<%crosssellaction="recommended"%>
<%orsortby=13%>
<%crosssellsectionmax=20%>
<!--#include file="vsadmin/inc/inccrosssell.asp"-->

When I searched for "cross" on my default page to try our Dave's suggestion I found "crosssellsectionmax=9" as suggested by 1818Charlie so I just changed that and removed it from my includes (looks like it was overriding the includes) and it worked. Thanks everyone!
