I would like to make some significant changes to my Wordpress ECT site but cannot afford to do this while the site is actually live. Wordpress suggest using WPLocal to work on the site but whenever I try to download the existing site (and database) I find that the download doesn't include the ECT files and non-WP folders from the root and the site refuses to run.

I tried using a full backup from my hosting company but WPLocal still doesn't import the site correctly
