Applied Discounts not working for ALT IDs

Marshall Ecommerce Template Guru USA 1909 Posts	Posted - 10/27/2024 : 07:19:14 PHP v7.7.6 I have a parent product with 10 ALT ID products as options. I recently tried to apply a $10 discount to 4 of the ALT IDs, but it did not apply the discount when adding the product to the cart. In the case of this particular site, the ALT IDs are individually visible and if pulled up that way, the discount did work, just not when the product is selected as an option. My simple solve was to reduce the price of the 4 products by $10 which is fine. I am more curious why the discount would not work when it is an ALT ID option. And applying the discount to the parent is not an option as it applies the discount to all 10 ALT IDs. Vince Administrator 42750 Posts	Posted - 10/28/2024 : 04:55:13 Hi Marshall I think this is because it's a feature that discounts are defined by the parent product, which is normally what people want. When you list the product is displayed individually the discount is added as it's not defined by the parent product.
