Hello,
I am running 7.7.8 version and when i try to upload a specific jpeg image for a product, i get this error:
Error uploading image: 500
Request object error 'ASP 0104 : 80004005'
Operation not Allowed
/vsadmin/doupload.asp, line 356

The image opens normally with windows photo viewer, photoshop etc.When i try to upload a different, random photo from my hard disk, this works fine.

Any thoughts ?

Thanking you in advance

Harry

What's the file size on the image?
Most servers have a limit set and perhaps your image is over that limit.
Are there any unusual characters in the filename?

Thanks,
David

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the reply. The image is 800KBytes, 2288x712 pixel dimensions, taken by a Cannon camera. Its name is DSCN0802.jpg

In web.config i have this:
<security>
<requestFiltering>
<requestLimits maxAllowedContentLength="30000000" />
</requestFiltering>
</security>

I actually tried several photos from the camera folder. the majority of them are failing, giving the same ASP error.

Hi Harry
As far as I know the only way to change this is in IIS and not through the web.config file. There are details about the change that is needed here...

Hi Vince,
Thanks for the link. It worked! I changed the value in IIS to 1073741824

Best regards,
Harry

I've made the error message a bit more user friendly for this by the way and will get the changes into the next updater.
