Hello there -- Today I got an error message I've never seen before.
I was entering a phone order for a wholesale customer. After I entered the items and entered the shipping/billing addresses, I clicked to go to the next screen where one chooses the shipping method and enters payment.
This error message popped up, "I'm sorry. We are experiencing temporary difficulties at the moment. Please try your purchase again later."
Sometimes odd things happen then resolve themselves, so I've tried to be patient. This glitch has been going on for several hours, however, and I'm getting a bit nervous.
What's extra weird is I am pretty sure a retail customer successfully submitted an order in the meantime. I am thinking either the issue is with me or the glitch is intermittent.
I would be grateful for help from the experts here. I'll be glad to provide FTP info if needed.

I do block IPs, but I'm absolutely the only person who does this kind of thing.
Verified my IP is not on the IP block list. I had only one IP range on the list and it did not include the IP I normally am on. Just to be thorough, however, I deleted all blocked IPs and tried to submit an order again. No joy.
I can see the wholesale customer's order and my test order in my Admin: Orders. They show up as if the customer abandoned their order right before the payment selection step.
