Just this last week I returned two items to stock. Everything is good for US and AU shipments, but all shipments to Canada get the "There are no methods available for your shipping destination" error displayed at checkout. I have USPS and UPS options enabled. Any ideas on what the problem might be? I thank everyone in advance and wish you all a happy and safe new year.

Update: As an update I checked to see that shipping to all Canada states is enabled, and the International methods for both USPS and UPS are enabled. I found that UPS was not enabled, added that and now I have shipping options for UPS showing, but still none for USPS. It seems the problem is ONLY with USPS. The problem is only with Canada and none of the other countries I ship to, i.e., both UPS and USPS show for Australia. Could this in any way be related to the recent Canada postal strike that ended December 17th? I am on the latest version of software. I am becoming more frustrated as time goes on and would really appreciate any suggestions.

Hi Ken
Sorry for the late reply but in the response from USPS I see this...

Unable to calculate international postage. No services available. At this time, all mail services to Canada are not available.

It really does look like there are no services to Canada at this time I'm afraid.

It could be related to this - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_Canada_Post_strike

Thank you all. In my original post I had speculated this was the cause, but I really can't believe it. The strike ended on December 17th and USPS is only resuming service to Canada on January 6th?

Perhaps they know something I don't!

Again thank you all and have a good and safe new year.

Ken

In Reading through various articles, it seems US Postal was waiting for Canada to catch up on existing deliveries.

Due to the strike, international packages and postage have been piling up.

When returning to work, Canada Post began by giving priority to domestic shipments.
