I just ran the v6.8.1 updater & noticed the Orders Admin & Printable Invoice layout is different. The Printable Invoice layout takes up a lot more space now. The previous layout was very concise & didn't take up a lot of paper space.

Is there a way to edit the layout, such as deleting certain sections?

Once I create the ectadmincustom.css file & add it to the vsadmin folder, where can I find some coding to edit/alter the printable invoice?

Hi Kathleen, you can style the elements on the custom css, is that what your looking to do or are you looking to do something else?

Change the layout, but I have no clue as to what coding to use to do that.

For example, I just had a customer leave me a message in the additional details box & when I go to print out the invoice it won't show the whole message because it has a scroll bar.

The shipping box, I don't use at all.

The previous layout used to have the email address, shipping method, additional information, applicable discounts all in one area but each on a separate line of course.

Sorry about the Additional Information field but that has been fixed now. You can get a copy of the updater or simply open adminstyle.css in a text editor and remove the highlighted line

Can you let me know what the problem is with the shipping box? What's your shipping set up or are you using "Don't Use Shipping" in the main admin settings page?

In regards to the Shipping box that shows the shipping method & tracking number, I do charge my customers shipping but I don't use the shipping box that is showing up on the printable invoice so I was just wanting to eliminate it showing up at all (just on the printable invoice) if that's possible.

Also, is there a way to get the Quantity column to print on the right-hand side between the Unit Price & Total Price? When I view the invoice is shows up there, but when I go to print it shows up on the far left-hand side before the Product ID.

If I change any of the coding in the adminstyle.css file will it get overwritten each time I run an updater? If so, should I just copy & paste the changes to the ectadmincustom.css file you had me create?

There shouldn't be any overlap in the additional details box and the quantity should stay in place on printing. If you'd like to send me on your control panel details I'll take a look for you.

Just sent you the requested info.

I found this in ectadmincustom.css

div.twocolumn{
width:48%;
float:left;
box-sizing:border-box;
padding:10px 2px;
border:1px solid #ddd !important;

}

and that is causing the overlap so I would remove that last line.

In adminstyle.css change the 3 or 4 instances of

@media

to

@media screen and

That fix will be in an updater shortly so won't get overwritten by updaters.

Can you teach me one more thing? Prior to this last hotfix the line spacing in the billing details box was like it was single spaced, now it looks like it's double spaced. It's just in the Billing Details box. Is there a way I can change that back?

You could add something like this to ectcustomadmin.css
