Hi

Can you make sure that you are only using the column headings that correspond to the columns you are uploading and if these are new products you have chosen "add to database".

I had a look at the csv file you sent me and it has all the column headings (33 columns in total) and 262 rows.

If you are adding to database all the products listed under pID would need to be unique and not already exist in the database.

Having said that though I'm a bit confused as you said you were just uploading 2 columns, pID and pName

The pIDs are unique

I do have hidden products in the db already but with totally different pIDs.

The upload criteria seemed ok to me too, this is why I am at a loss as to why this csv file will not ADD to DB

Would you like to send me the csv file to 'phil at bettapages dot com' and I'll try and upload it on a test site I have here.

Hi Pete,
I replied to your email around 5 minutes after receiving it. I had no issues at all importing the data you sent me.

Maybe check your junk folder?

Here's a copy of my reply I sent to you yesterday:

quote:
Hi Pete,

I didn’t have any issues with that. I have a test site on my localhost, I imported all the data with no issues at all, see screenshots attached.

Obviously the imported product list are not correctly assigned to the categories that are present in my test database but that’s not relevant.

If you want to send me the admin login for your live site I’ll login there and take a look if you like?
