http://uasteelband.com was hacked.

I deleted the server version and uploaded my last working clean version, that didn't work, so I downloaded the last server back up, uploaded that version and it doesn't work either. Can someone tell me where to start looking to get this up and running again? I just downloaded the newest software update, but obviously, cant apply it until its running. Its been a while since I dug into this code.

Hi

When you say it didn't work, do you know what error message you received as that might suggest what went wrong in the upload.

The latest files have been uploaded including the digi download as this site allows mp3 downloads.

OK, that's the same error. Is this an Access or MS SQL Server database?

Ok, it looks like this was an error on the server end, as they got back to me late yesterday and said it was all fixed. The updater page worked, I updated everything. I currently have a ticket in to what was actually wrong.

Now, I'm back to the original problem I started with, the client cannot download the file after purchase. It shows up, ( a little weird looking after the update) but after clicking on it, it leaves us with an error.

It looks like you have a typo in includes.asp with the path to the download location.

The display is because you are missing the ectcart.css line on latedownload.asp

Actually, not a typo but do you have dodownload.asp uploaded to the vsadmin folder?

Your set up looks fine and the files are correctly uploaded and on the correct version. It could be your server no longer supports aspupload or there's some sort of problems with the permissions - I would ask your host if they can check that for you.

ugh. back to the web hosts I guess. I sent another email. I will update when they return an email. By the way, I have this functioning perfectly on maumaumusic.com, it just been so long since I made modifications to the site, server permissions have probably changed and this website does not do much download business.

Thanks again for your help.

Sorry, it has been a couple days, but my hosts came back with this. It looks like they cannot figure it out? They compared it to the maumaumusic.com domain and said they are running same permissions. Any Ideas?

We have checked server settings & permission are same on both domain uasteelband.com & maumaumusic.com. Can you

check your code once again as well as path

check once your msaccess database and enable exact error option

Hi Chris, Andy mentioned "aspupload" have they checked that to see if it is functioning correctly as that is the server component used.

There is also this note specific to Windows2008 R2 servers- if you are not on a win2008 r2 server do not use it:
If when testing your downloads, clicking on the download link results in a page saying "Connection Error" then it's more than likely you need this parameter in vsadmin/includes.asp

iswin2008r2=TRUE

This is only for ASP users and Windows2008 R2 servers.

Thanks guys. It looks like after adding iswin2008r2=TRUE it worked on a new order I placed. After updating site, my storefront looks funny and the cart is hard to see, now I figure this is a css issue, but I believe I uploaded everything I needed.?

Below is my last order, you can see the formatting is funny when clicking on link. What am I missing?

Hi Chris, glad that helped, to fix the cart layout issue you will need to add the following link to the css to all the pages on the site just before the closing </head> so that it looks like:

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/ectcart.css" />
</head>
