Hi Guys,

My site has used an SSL certificate (https://) for a few years and I now also sign email messages using a certificate from comodo.

https://www.instantssl.com/ssl-certificate-products/free-email-certificate.html

The certificate installs on my computer and Outlook signs all messages before they get sent.

Can the cart be configured to sign emails?

Security is important for trust and I think people will begin to expect that most company emails will be signed in the near future.

cheers
Ross

Hi Ross

It's not something I've seen before so don't know of a way of doing that I'm afraid.

Thanks Andy,

Outlook (and many other email apps) can be configured to use a digital certificate and 'sign' every outgoing mail with it.

The certificates are free and available in the link in my previous post. (They are installed in the certificate store in the same way as an SSL cert)

Vince would need to add the ability to 'sign emails' as an option to the cart.

As eCommerce is all about security and trust, this would be a big plus to the software.

Have a great Easter,
cheers
Ross
