Hi,
I have an existing client who would like his customers to read and approve the Terms and Conditions at the top of the check out pages rather than at the bottom. He wants them to read before they continue with the checkout. How would I make that happen?
Thanks, Anna

That would be a great option if it could be considered as a new feature in the future. If customers use Paypal Express it doesn't even take them to the Step 2 page where they have to agree to the Terms & Conditions.

Thanks for the update. Can you suggest a different way this might be done? I have the store in a Joomla site and it is accessible with the menu using the Joomla Wrapper. I thought I could copy the code and place it at the top of the page but I couldn't get that to work.
Thanks, Anna

We removed the check box added the following text and link, which could be added at the top of the page as well, similar to making a purchase on amazon and other large retailers.
By placing your order, you agree to Paradiseclothingco.com's Terms & Conditions

We did the same as Mark. If Amazon's lawyers say it's good enough for them, then it's good enough for me.

Thanks for all the help. My client will be OK with he check box at the bottom of the page, but the link doesn't bring up the T & C page. I searched and couldn't find how to add the link to the T & C. I am using PHP 6.8.5. Can you help me locate the setup information?
Thanks, Anna

Hi Anna, here you go. quote: Terms and Conditions
If you need to make your customers agree to your terms and conditions on checkout, set $termsandconditions=TRUE; You will also need to create a page with your terms and conditions called termsandconditions.php ... which will be shown in a 420 x 380 popup.

Thank you. I will find the includes.php and set terms to "True". I think the clients terms is too long to fit in the 420 x 380 popup , but will give it a try.
Do I just create the termsandconditions.php file and put it in the root folder?
Thanks, Anna
