I wasn't going to post this issue because it really isn't that urgent. However it has been happening more and more, so I thought I'd throw it out there.
When updating products in Product Admin, after clicking Submit I get a blank page with a single hashtag in the upper left corner.
The product updates but I just get the blank page after updating. It doesn't happen every time but 5 out of 10 times I'd say.
I ran the latest updater 6.9.3 several times. It looks like all my files are up-to-date. Can't figure this one out...any suggestions?

Hi Andy,
I am using Microsoft Edge. I am updating my products daily so about 50% of the time I find myself clicking the Back button again and again to get off the hashtag screen. It doesn't happen with every product and it doesn't affect the product update but it is just a nuisance. It's just weird that one product will update fine and the next product I get the blank screen with the hashtag.
Is there anything I can do about it on my end? Contact my host about the folder permissions? Try a different browser?

I've made a lot of edits here to a product and don't get any problems. I did try it a couple of weeks ago too when somebody else mentioned it and that's why I asked you about Edge. What sort of edit are you doing to a product, is it the price, description or is it just a random thing? Andy Please feel free to review / rate our software

That's what I was trying to figure out. It may be a certain action that creates the error, but I haven't narrowed it down yet. I know that it only happens when updating products - as opposed to just adding new products. I'm updating the price on some products but mainly updating the short and long descriptions.
I will be updating products all day, so I will see if I can tell exactly what action creates the error. If I find something, I'll post here.

It is the List Price and Wholesale Price.
Each time I change either the List Price or Wholesale Price, it creates the blank screen with the hashtag.
If I change either of these prices to anything different than what they are, it creates the error. If I erase either of these prices, it also creates the error. I must go back and set both of these prices to what they were in order to not receive the error.

Have you tried using the quick entry to change those prices?

Yes, I can use the Quick Entry to edit the List Price and Wholesale Price without issue. It involves 2 extra steps in order to update each product but it doesn't hurt my feelings

I am using ckeditor.
As I stated earlier, this is not an urgent matter whatsoever. The products still update even when receiving the hashtag error. I just thought I'd point it out as there is obviously something going on there.
Thanks all!

The problem seems to be getting much worse. It turns out the hashtag screen can show up any time, no matter what is edited. After the screen shows up the first time, it will show up every time (just about) thereafter. Each product that I edit after receiving the blank screen with the hashtag will trigger the hashtag screen thereafter. I either have to clear my cache or restart my computer in order top stop receiving the hashtag screen.
Perhaps it has something to do with the ckeditor and/or Microsoft Edge, using them together..?

I'll have another look but I believe I tried with / without the ckeditor but can't remember fully. As a quick test, can you comment out htmleditor="ckeditor" and see if it makes a difference for you? Andy Please feel free to review / rate our software

That doesn't make any difference for me, I don't get a hashtag either way. Have you looked at the new Froala editor now you're on 6.9.3 https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/free_downloads.asp#htmleditor - it's pretty neat but unfortunately we can't offer image upload with the ASP version (PHP only) Andy Please feel free to review / rate our software

I think I will just switch to the Froala editor. If I continue to get the error I will post back here. Thanks for your help.

I switched to Froala about a month ago. Today is the first time the hashtag issue has occurred since switching to the new editor. Again it is only when editing current products (as opposed to adding new products). It has been happening all day, I can't seem to get it to stop this time.
The product updates as usual but I have to click the back button each time to get back to the correct screen. Maybe it is an isolated incident. Perhaps its just my computer. That would be my luck.
