I'm wondering why my SKUs look different when viewing them in a CSV file as opposed to online or through the admin page. An example is this:

75960608000700411 which is correct and this:

75960608000700400 which is how it shows on the CSV.

I've also noticed that, If I upload the CSV file, it will change all of the "11"s on the end to "00"s

I'm using Open Office Calc.

It's usually leading zeros that seem to have problems in excel.
Here is what I would do. Change the SKU to something totally different. Use letters maybe.
Then download the csv and view in open office calc to see what you get.

This might help narrow the issue to the zeros.

Don't forget, you can open a csv file in notepad, so maybe see what you have there too.

I'm using actual UPCs for the SKUs so I really don't want to change them. Also I'm using Open Office Calc.

You are not using Open Office spreed sheet? It does not change numbers, even leading zeros.

Hi DavidX, I was meaning as a simple test.
I suspect perhaps it's some other unknown issue and if you temporarily change one in the admin and then download the csv, you can rule out the ending zero problem I think.

It seems to be happening on upload. When I download a CSV any SKUs with "11" on the end remain that way but, if I upload the same file I downloaded they change to "00" on the site.

Hi David,
Here's what you need to do.
Download the csv, open it, highlight the SKU column > right click > format cells > choose text.

Save the file but keep it open. Make your changes > save > upload

Closing the file and reopening it will change the format of the SKU's so you need to keep it open.
