Cart message: I'm sorry. We are experiencing temporary difficulties at the moment. Please try your purchase again later

This message started when we attempted to implement a Content Delivery Network (CDN) using Cloudflare to boost page speed.
Noticed cart IP addresses went from standard numbers to long ones: IP Address:2601:282:a02:a05:54c9:ecd0:764a:da10

Disabled the CDN, but still having problems.

Our website seems to have two IPs according to ssllabs.com
chartsmartxl.com (2607:f1c0:100f:f000:0:0:0:258)
chartsmartxl.com (74.208.236.195)

Not sure what to do.

We do not use multiple order blocking as I saw in other support listings.

Hi

That is the message the cart reports for IP issues. Have you checked the IP Blocking admin page to see what you have listed in there?

So you have nothing listed in the admin file, vsadmin/adminipblock.asp

We have some IPs, but they've been there for a long time.
There's code in adminipblock.php.

I've noticed some issues on the forum with IPV6.
We haven't upgraded 6.3.2 because works fine and lots of customizations. Is that part of the problem?

That version is around five years old and really needs to be updated. There have been a lot of improvements, security fixes and performance enhancing additions since then. I can't say for certain that updating will fix the problem but it really should be done regardless. I would also speak to your host about the 2 IP addresses as that's out of my comfort zone.

I was having problems getting mysqli (php 7) to connect to the database in seconds instead of minutes.
That's why I haven't updated.

Can't you get your host to help with that?

Unless you are specifically using IPV6 at this point I would unbind it from the webserver (presumably Apache) and only run with the IPV4 address for the moment. Then try to reestablish the link with cloudflare
