Hi, it could be that updates to your dwt files are not being saved to the connected pages.
I use expression web and it uses DWT files as well, and they can become disconnected.
I do not use dreamweaver so I can't be sure how to troubleshoot that.

You might try a small change in one of the dwt files and save that, then see if it carried over to the connected pages when saving.
I expect Andy or someone else will come along and help you with that further.
