Prev - Next Image buttons not working

I'm on version 6.9.4 on a site and i have added a product with three images. The prev and next buttons do appear and when you mouse over them, the finger icon appears, but when you click on them, nothing happens. I have never had this issue before, but this is my first site on version 6.9.4. Is this a bug?
