I have a client who has a ect site - they want to show only pre vat prives until someone checs out (I have told them the distant selling at requires clear ly showing the VAT inclusive prices BUT he still wants to show jut pre VAT prices till people get through to the cart so on.. products.php, proddetail.php and search.php

He also wants to show euro prices BUT these arent calculated on the price sterling rather wants to use a different cost all together

Can this be done with the standard store or are we looking at custom coding?

These are the three available tax display options https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/phphelp/ecommplus/parameters.asp#tax but I don't know if $showtaxinclusive=1; would be what they need from your description

The euro pricing sounds like it would need custom coding.

its daftness he is asking

the three options are perfect as they are - distant selling act requires vat to be clearly shown on any online sales so hiding it till checkout is not really in the spirit of selling within the distant selling act regulations

(not at computer today trying to answer stuff on my ipad whilst sat in a hospital ! lol so cant renew my subscription sorry where i am )

with the price inclusive or exlclusive of VAT is there any different css for the vat component?

Just thinking the easy fix would be to change the font colour on the css of the (inc VAT ) bit that would give him wanbted he wannted and making it less obvius but still there would comply with the distant selling act ..

So if it isnt a css option at present would it be a case of modding the incproddetail, incsearch and incproductbody.php pages with the css inclusion

The (inc VAT ) part is an entry in languagefile_en.php so you could edit that, remove it or edit the span tag to apply your own css class or style.
