Do you know if any special charges are applied by ups for large (23" x 20" x 10") packages and if so, is there any option in the shopping cart for this? Thanks.

Your store can connect to UPS and quote the shipping based on details you have entered for each product. (weight, dimensions, etc)

To answer your question specifically, UPS has what's called "dimensional weight" charges. So a large box, that is very lightweight, will have extra fees applied. Although again, I recommend you connect your store to UPS and let the website handle the quotes automatically.
