Eliminating double entry of customer info

Mexicomike Starting Member USA 35 Posts Pre-sales questions only (More Details...)	Posted - 06/30/2019 : 17:17:45 My credit card processor asks for name, address, phone, email. So does my checkout page. Since my products are downloads I need email, name and phone. Can I eliminate the other fields from my checkout page? Thank you. Mexico maps and driving advice
Vince Administrator 42874 Posts	Posted - 06/30/2019 : 23:17:01 Hi Mexicomike There isn't really an option to remove fields from the checkout, and it's not really something that would be desirable as this gives you are record in the store of your customer's details. But doesn't the cart pass these fields on to the payment processor so that they don't have to be filled in twice? What payment processor are you using? Information was not passed on. Just signed up with Stripe. Info is not passed on. Knowing that it cannot be done at least saved me the wasting of more time trying to fix something that is not broken. Vince Administrator 42874 Posts	Posted - 07/02/2019 : 02:25:59 Hi Mike Yes, that does seem to be a bit of a problem with Stripe but there doesn't seem to be a way around this at the moment (although I see many others on the internet asking how to pass the zip / address details you've already collected to Stripe.) But with PayPal it has always been possible to pass the details on and I'm not sure why you had a problem with that payment method. I have read some of the documentation, but my java skills are very limited for something that large. It would be nice not to have the customer enter their data twice. It would be nice to capture the charges from the ECT order page, like every other provider. It would be nice to have it integrated into the website so it is fully branded like our site, since they never leave our site.
