free shipping not working in discounts

tgorski Ecommerce Template Expert USA 918 Posts	Posted - 03/19/2020 : 13:01:53 (Previously posted in the ASP section ...) https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=112417 I am having problems with the FREE SHIPPING discount ... the discount is setup properly (although the default SCOPE changes from an un-editable "Individual products and categories" when adding the new discount to "All products and categories" when re-opening the discount), and I made sure that FSA was indicated ONLY for IA, IL, MN and WI, as well as for the United States and for USPS Priority Mail, and it tested just fine, but then we noticed ALL order were getting free shipping. The customer is adamant about running the special, so we're running it and deleting shipping charges by hand instead of having it done automatically, so it sure would be nice to figure out why the FREE SHIPPING discount is not working as it should. Vince Administrator 42874 Posts	Posted - 03/19/2020 : 15:00:15 Ahhh, is this possibly because you have "Apply to all countries" set for the discount rather than "restrict to certain countries"? The scope being greyed out is fine as the scope doesn't apply to shipping discounts.
