Customer shipping carrier selector Error

Posted - 06/29/2020 : 20:44:03 I just upgraded my ECT and now my shipping estimator is giving me an error when you try to select shipping in the cart. I have USPS and UPS chosen and set up as my shipping choices. If I go into my admin main settings and just choose UPS, everything works fine, and if I just choose USPS it works. It even works ok if I choose show alternate carriers in menu. But if I choose show all shipping carriers together, I get the following error USPS Logo $0.00 undefined Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e07' Data type mismatch in criteria expression. /wjsails/vsadmin/shipservice.asp, line 116 I'm local and will pick up ($0.00) Shipping and Handling $0.00 Store is at https://www.beanbag.com/wjsails.htm Scott

Can you get a copy and just copy the file vsadmin/ajaxservice.asp to your site and that should sort this out. However, I am not sure I am getting the fix as the ajaxservice.asp file has a date of 4/22/20... which is the same as the file I get the error with. I uploaded the new ajaxservice.asp with the 4/22/20 date and I am still getting the same problem. Posted - 07/04/2020 : 20:01:34 Not to be a pain, but ajaxservice.asp was dated 4/22/2020 on the original file and the just updated download I did was still dated 4/22/2020. So I do not think the file was replaced by a newer fixed version. Unless you just uploaded in the last few day. It has now been a week since I downloaded the updater again. Scott Scott

mrbeanbag New Member USA 82 Posts Pre-sales questions only (More Details...)	Posted - 07/05/2020 : 15:39:32 Ok, just copied and added that new file shipservice.asp but now its gotten worse. Now I get UPS Logo The requested service is unavailable to residential destinations. I tried several different address, and all say the same or it says, this sevice can not ship to a residential address.... I double checked my UPS admin and I do have UPS ground chosen as a service option. Scott

Sorry about the continuing problems here but this seems to come down to the fact that the Default Ship State was set to Ohio and not the state abbreviation, "OH". I've changed that now in your includes.asp file and all is looking good. I've left UPS enabled now as I think that's what you wanted. Can you check all is good now with the shipping rates and I'm going to do some tests here as to why the error given isn't a bit more helpful. Vince Administrator 42874 Posts	Posted - 07/08/2020 : 03:02:10 Hi Scott I see what the problem was with the error message, and it was because the first error about the state provoked a second error about the service being unavailable and this overwrote the first error. I've changed things so that all errors are displayed and I'll get that in the next updater. This doesn't affect you as you state is now correct.
