1) are the tabs responsive? I only found spry tabs, did you guys changed that? because spry is not updated anymore? I purchased the responsive store 1 year ago

2) ratings can be made of stars? can customer leave ratings even if they are not logged in?

3) I purchased the store 1 1/2 years ago, if I apply the update would be ok?

4) can I delete the dropdown where it says where did you hear about us?

5) instead of dropdowns can I use buttons is there a choice in ECT?

We still use the Spry Tabs but I didn't realise they caused a problem in a responsive website. Have you got any examples of how?
You can configure the ratings to allow non-logged in customers to leave a rating.
Yes, there is no problem applying the update from any previous version.
Yes, you can delete the dropdown and that would be in the includes.php file.
Yes, you can make that a button.

He is thinking to purchase the ecommerce software for his new website
First, the only thing left was: he asked me if ecommerce can replace the dropdowns for the product details for buttons, and I cannot find the documentation for that. Thats is what I was asking. He is waiting and I hope he uses ecommerce

If you mean radio buttons for the product options then sure, you can select that in the admin product options page when you create the option.

I did this with product options - Check the options - They are shown as colored buttons.
