Hi All,

How do i prevent all products from appearing if the search box is left blank and the search is clicked?

This will obviously put a lot of load on the database and I dont want this to happen.

It really won't put any load on the database at all, any more than just displaying the products.php page would.

I dont want comeptitors having a quick way of seeing what products I have listed?

A lot of big retailers doesnt allow any products to appear if blank?

Hi Jason, it would require some custom coding, so there is no built in feature for that.
Personally I think it's going to be a challenge to hide products from competitors, but show them to customers at the same time.

Maybe someone here has dealt with this and may see it. If not, you might reach out to one of the developers.

How are you / the website going to determine a customer who is perusing your website with a potential of furnishing you with a sale from competitor?
