You guys updated my site last week. I have a few issues since the update. I have 2 main.dwt files. Once is in the root directory and one is in the Templates folder. I dont' know if I should have 2 but when I go to update the one in the templates folder it is changing the path for my slider and also for my privacy page and terms and conditions....it is making my slider appear as Templates/js.jquery.flexslier.js and my privacy pages as Templates/privacy-notice.php. I had a backup which I restored, but why is it changing the path and how do I prevent this. Should one of the main.dwt be removed? I have other areas on my site that I need to work on but want to resolve this first. Also the updatestore file is still in my root, should that be removed?

The only one you need is in the Templates folder. I didn't remove the one in the root in case you wanted it for some reason.

The current index.php page is based on that template in Templates/main.dwt and has the correct paths. I used Dreamweaver to edit the files so I'm guessing you used something different? Maybe Expression Web? If you let me know I'll try to recreate the problem.

Sure, please remove the one in the root of the website if you don't want it.

I've removed it now. It doesn't matter if it's there as running the updatestore.php file on a site that is already updated does nothing. But it's good to remove it.

I use Expressions Web to edit. I attempted yesterday to edit the site "main.dwt" in the Templates folder. I was editing the links for the social media icons. I saved it and then when I check the site, the slider is gone, the url changes for the slider to include "Templates/" and the privacy page and terms and conditions page in the footer url changes to include "Templates/"

If your DWT files in a templates folder, your links need to be preceded by "../" to reference the root level.

Hi Daringdiva
Yes, it seems there were a couple of issues in the Templates/main.dwt file that Dreamweaver was being more forgiving about. I've fixed those now and updated the template and the site files so can you try again and see how it goes.
