I just noticed I have items where the "Date Added" shows todays date. I know for a fact they were not added today and have actually been on the site for years. What might be causing this?

I've pretty much figure out that the items in question actually had NO date associated with them so the current date was being pre-filled. It looks like 1/4 of the items do not have dates. So, the NEW question is, how did the dates become blank? It's my understanding that they automatically choose the current date when a new item is created.

I don't remember how they were originally created. They MAY have been imported via CSV.

I believe it's possible to import via csv without the date added column and that field will be blank until you open the product in the admin, in edit mode.

Thanks, I can work with that!

If you want to fix them, you can use the quick entry feature, or download a csv file and fill in the entries missing a date, then upload that file.
