In Florida I've been advised we are to charge sales tax based on the tax in the county where the customer is located.

We've been charging sales tax based on the rate in the seller's county. How do I set the sales tax per zip code area?

While yes what you are saying is true, we are a Florida seller and were audited by the Florida dept of revenue a few years ago.
They never said anything at all about us just reporting the rate in our zip code.
